Several platforms, including Apple, feature a cover with black-and-white marbling, evoking a classic <a href="https://www.format.com/magazine/features/design/who-designed-composition-notebook-history">composition book</a> used in the U.S. Apple&#39;s design displays Notes on its cover. <a href="/google/android-7.0/notebook/">Google</a>, <a href="/microsoft/windows-10/notebook/">Microsoft</a>, and <a href="/samsung/touchwiz-7.1/notebook/">Samsung&rsquo;s covers</a> were previously yellow or brown.
