Used&nbsp;either as a literal airplane, to represent an overseas vacation, or sometimes as a proxy for&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Airplane_mode">airplane mode</a> on a <a href="/zh/%E6%89%8B%E6%9C%BA/" title="📱 Mobile Phone">phone</a> or tablet.

Use of this emoji <a href="https://blog.emojipedia.org/emoji-use-in-the-new-normal/">declined in April 2020</a>, potentially as a result of global air travel limitations.

飞机

A suitcase or bag, as used for traveling. Most platforms depict gray or blue rolling luggage with an extended handle. Commonly used for various content concerning traveling or taking trips, whether for business or leisure.

Apple&rsquo;s design features an old-fashioned, leather, trunk-styled case with graphic <a href="https://www.citylab.com/design/2013/05/lost-art-luggage-labels/5652/">luggage labels</a>/stickers, not to be confused with <a href="/zh/%E5%85%AC%E6%96%87%E5%8C%85/">💼&nbsp;Briefcase</a> or <a href="/zh/%E6%89%8B%E6%8F%90%E5%8C%85/">👜&nbsp;Handbag</a>. Google and Facebook also include such stickers.

Many platforms indicate text with dark lines. WhatsApp&rsquo;s design includes wooden rollers. Apple&rsquo;s design features an easter egg, script of text from its 1997&ndash;2002 <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Think_Different">Crazy Ones/Think Different</a> ad campaign:

The Unicode Consortium approved the following characters as part of <a href="http://www.unicode.org/versions/Unicode7.0.0/">Unicode 7.0</a>, released on June 16, 2014.&nbsp;Support for these emoji characters rely on updates from platform vendors such as Apple, Google and Microsoft.

Initially, 250&nbsp;new characters in Unicode 7.0 were approved for emoji presentation, however this was later reduced to 103 Standard Additions which are listed below. The other characters remain part of Unicode, but are not recommended&nbsp;to be included as emojis.

The exception to this was the <a href="/zh/%E6%9C%9D%E5%B7%A6%E7%9A%84%E8%AF%9D%E8%AF%AD%E6%B0%94%E6%B3%A1/" title="🗨 Left Speech Bubble">Left Speech Bubble</a>, and as such wasn&#39;t initially specified on other platforms as an emoji. A later-accepted&nbsp;<a href="http://blog.emojipedia.org/diverse-spy-proposal/">proposal</a> updated this.

Samsung devices use <a href="https://news.samsung.com/global/samsungs-emoji-suite-makes-for-a-more-emotional-digital-world">their own emoji designs</a>&nbsp;which are different to those used on other <a href="/zh/google/">Android devices</a>. These&nbsp;glossy emojis&nbsp;appear on devices such as the Samsung Galaxy and Galaxy Note series and are updated as part of the Samsung One UI interface layer (previously Samsung Experience, before that Samsung TouchWiz)&nbsp;which runs on top of Android.

Note that Samsung users may see select emojis display as their <a href="/zh/google/">Google</a>&nbsp;set design. This is due to <a href="https://blog.emojipedia.org/faster-emoji-updates-on-the-way-for-android-apps/">Android AppCompat</a>, which will display a Google emoji design within an app or web platform&nbsp;when a Samsung device has not yet been updated to support that particular emoji.

Since the introduction of Samsung&#39;s emoji set in 2014, various Unicode characters that have not been recommended to have emoji presentation have nevertheless been given a colorful emoji design on Samsung platforms. Note:&nbsp;<a href="/zh/whatsapp/">WhatsApp</a>, <a href="/zh/twitter/">Twitter</a>, and <a href="/zh/facebook/">Facebook</a> have their&nbsp;own emoji designs&nbsp;which are used&nbsp;instead of Google or Samsung emojis in their respective apps on Android devices.

Samsung Emoji List — Emojis for Samsung Galaxy, Galaxy Note, and Galaxy Z Fold [Updated 2024]

Beginning its rollout for select Samsung devices on 28 March 2024, Samsung&#39;s One UI 6.1&nbsp;revised a considerable number of previously available emoji designs.

Many emojis had subtle modifications made to their outline, contrast, and shading, including the majority of&nbsp;<a href="/zh/%E7%AC%91%E8%84%B8%E5%92%8C%E4%BA%BA">🧑 People</a> emojis. One UI 6.1

Beginning its rollout for select Samsung devices on 30&nbsp;October 2023, Samsung&#39;s One UI 6.0&nbsp;featured a completely new design style for the majority of the vendor&#39;s emojis.

All smiley, food, and animal emoji designs have been revised in this update, as have the majority of the people emojis.

This is the most significant revision of the vendor&#39;s emoji set since&nbsp;February 2018&#39;s&nbsp;Experience 9.0 update, which introduced a significant number of design revisions that were consistent with those used on other platforms.

This update also introduced support for the 2023 Emoji 15.1 recommendation list.

One UI 6.0

Beginning its rollout for select Samsung devices from October 2022, Samsung&#39;s One UI 5.0 provided support for both&nbsp;2021&#39;s <a href="/zh/emoji-14.0/">Emoji 14.0</a> and 2022&#39;s <a href="/zh/emoji-15.0/">Emoji 15.0</a>&nbsp;recommendations.

Prior to the release of One UI 5.0, many Samsung users may have seen support for <a href="/zh/emoji-14.0/">Emoji 14.0</a>&nbsp;emojis provided via <a href="/zh/google/">Google&#39;s emoji design set</a>. This was due to Google&#39;s expansion of&nbsp;<a href="https://blog.emojipedia.org/faster-emoji-updates-on-the-way-for-android-apps/">Android AppCompat</a>&nbsp;in 2021.

A select number of users also reported seeing <a href="/zh/emoji-14.0/">Emoji 14.0</a>&nbsp;designs in Samsung&#39;s emoji font when updating to One UI 4.1.1 in September 2022.
