Ruitvorm Met Stip Erin

A rosette, a stylized, flower-shaped <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosette_(design)">decoration</a>&nbsp;often presented as an award with a ribbon or <a href="/nl/militaire-medaille/">(military) medal</a>. Appears&nbsp;as a motif in&nbsp;<a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosette_(design)">ancient cultures</a>. Generally depicted as a circular, yellow-and-orange flower.

Commonly used for <a href="/nl/valentines-day/">Valentine&rsquo;s Day</a>, <a href="/nl/mothers-day/">Mother&rsquo;s Day</a>, and other special occasions. May be more generally used to express such ideas as love, happiness, and beauty.&nbsp;Also used as a yellow accent color.

Not to be confused with <a href="/nl/bloesem/">🌼 Blossom</a>, though their applications may overlap.

WhatsApp&#39;s rosette is orange, white, and purple; Twitter&#39;s is purple and blue. Samsung&#39;s was <a href="/nl/samsung/experience-9.0/rozet/">previously</a> pink. A non-emoji Unicode character&nbsp;<a href="/nl/black-rosette/">🏶&nbsp;Black Rosette</a> was once shown as an emoji on LG phones.

Rozet

A diamond symbol emoji, which is used in card games for the diamonds&nbsp;suit.

Apple&#39;s design <a href="/nl/apple/ios-5.1/ruiten/">previously</a> displayed the red diamond symbol on a white playing card.

A jewel or gem, as set into a <a href="/nl/ring/">ring</a>. Depicted in the shape of a classic diamond but in the bright blue color of an <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beryl#Aquamarine_and_maxixe">aquamarine</a>.

Commonly used for various content concerning jewelry, as upon an engagement or <a href="/nl/wedding-marriage/">marriage</a>. May also convey various literal and figurative senses of beauty, wealth, sophistication, preciousness, and sparkling.

Edelsteen

A <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nazar_(amulet)#Amulet">nazar</a>, an eye-shaped amulet believed to protect against the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evil_eye">evil eye</a>, especially in Turkish culture. Depicted as a rich blue, circular bead with a black dot in the center ringed with white and light blue, resembling an <a href="/nl/oog/">eye</a>.

Commonly used to represent eyes, various senses of looking, various senses of&nbsp;charms, envy and jealousy, and&nbsp;<a href="/nl/vlag-turkije/">Turkey</a> and Turkish culture. Also used for its blue color more generally.

WhatsApp, Facebook, and Huawei&#39;s designs include a small hole, as for threading the amulet on a string or chain.

A star with six points, and a dot in the center. Similar to the <a href="/nl/davidster/" title="✡ Star of David">Star of David emoji</a>.

Zespuntige Ster

Two curly loops, which&nbsp;represent&nbsp;a reel-to-reel tape recorder. Used as a symbol&nbsp;for voicemail on many phones.

A variation of this logo is used by <a href="https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/フリーダイヤル">Free Dial</a>, a toll-free telephone number by NTT in Japan.

These&nbsp;glossy emojis&nbsp;appear on devices such as the Samsung Galaxy and Galaxy Note series and are updated as part of the Samsung One UI interface layer (previously Samsung Experience, before that Samsung TouchWiz)&nbsp;which runs on top of Android.

Note that Samsung users may see select emojis display as their <a href="/nl/google/">Google</a>&nbsp;set design. This is due to <a href="https://blog.emojipedia.org/faster-emoji-updates-on-the-way-for-android-apps/">Android AppCompat</a>, which will display a Google emoji design within an app or web platform&nbsp;when a Samsung device has not yet been updated to support that particular emoji.

Since the introduction of Samsung&#39;s emoji set in 2014, various Unicode characters that have not been recommended to have emoji presentation have nevertheless been given a colorful emoji design on Samsung platforms. Samsung Emoji List — Emojis for Samsung Galaxy, Galaxy Note, and Galaxy Z Fold [Updated 2024]

Beginning its rollout for select Samsung devices on 28 March 2024, Samsung&#39;s One UI 6.1&nbsp;revised a considerable number of previously available emoji designs.

Many emojis had subtle modifications made to their outline, contrast, and shading, including the majority of&nbsp;<a href="/nl/smileys-en-mensen">🧑 People</a> emojis. Meanwhile, many emojis within&nbsp;the&nbsp;<a href="/nl/reizen-en-plaatsen">🚀 Travel &amp; Places</a> and&nbsp;<a href="/nl/voorwerpen">💡 Objects</a> categories were given more extensive redesigns.&nbsp;

One UI 6.1

Beginning its rollout for select Samsung devices on 30&nbsp;October 2023, Samsung&#39;s One UI 6.0&nbsp;featured a completely new design style for the majority of the vendor&#39;s emojis.

All smiley, food, and animal emoji designs have been revised in this update, as have the majority of the people emojis.

This is the most significant revision of the vendor&#39;s emoji set since&nbsp;February 2018&#39;s&nbsp;Experience 9.0 update, which introduced a significant number of design revisions that were consistent with those used on other platforms.

This update also introduced support for the 2023 Emoji 15.1 recommendation list.

One UI 6.0

Beginning its rollout for select Samsung devices from October 2022, Samsung&#39;s One UI 5.0 provided support for both&nbsp;2021&#39;s <a href="/nl/emoji-14.0/">Emoji 14.0</a> and 2022&#39;s <a href="/nl/emoji-15.0/">Emoji 15.0</a>&nbsp;recommendations.

Prior to the release of One UI 5.0, many Samsung users may have seen support for <a href="/nl/emoji-14.0/">Emoji 14.0</a>&nbsp;emojis provided via <a href="/nl/google/">Google&#39;s emoji design set</a>. This was due to Google&#39;s expansion of&nbsp;<a href="https://blog.emojipedia.org/faster-emoji-updates-on-the-way-for-android-apps/">Android AppCompat</a>&nbsp;in 2021.

A select number of users also reported seeing <a href="/nl/emoji-14.0/">Emoji 14.0</a>&nbsp;designs in Samsung&#39;s emoji font when updating to One UI 4.1.1 in September 2022.

One UI 5.0

Beginning its rollout for select Samsung devices from&nbsp;mid-January 2022, this small emoji updated changed the design of Samsung&#39;s&nbsp;<a href="/nl/sterretjes/">✨ Sparkles</a> emoji to be more consistent&nbsp;with those of other emoji vendors.

Additional devices received this emoji update alongside Samsung&#39;s&nbsp;One UI 4.1 update, which was made widely available in March 2022 after initially debuting with the Galaxy S22 series of devices a month earlier.

One UI 4.0 January 2022

Beginning its rollout on&nbsp;2021-11-15 for Samsung&#39;s Galaxy S21 series of mobile devices,&nbsp;Samsung One UI 4.0&nbsp;added support for <a href="/nl/emoji-13.1/">Emoji 13.1</a>.

Beginning its rollout in late July 2021 to select Samsung&rsquo;s Galaxy Z devices, One UI 3.1.1 updated a small number of existing emoji designs.

Select devices running Samsung One UI 3.1 were also given this emoji update&nbsp;via a firmware update in August 2021.

One UI 3.1.1

Released alongside the Galaxy Note 20 on&nbsp;2020-08-21, Samsung One UI 2.5 added support for <a href="/nl/emoji-13.0/">Emoji 13.0</a>. One UI 2.5

Samsung One UI 2.0&nbsp;began rolling out to users in February 2020.&nbsp;The first major devices to launch with this release were the&nbsp;Galaxy S20 and the Galaxy Z Flip.

This update provides support to the 136 gender-neutral person&nbsp;<a href="https://blog.emojipedia.org/emoji-zwj-sequences-three-letters-many-possibilities">ZWJ sequences </a>recommended in <a href="/nl/emoji-12.1/">Emoji 12.1</a>. However, the previously-released&nbsp;<a href="/nl/vrouw/">👩 Woman&nbsp;</a>variant designs are displayed&nbsp;instead of a new gender-neutral design.

The 30 people holding hands emojis recommended&nbsp;in <a href="/nl/emoji-12.1/">Emoji 12.1</a>&nbsp;are absent from this update.

One UI 2.1

Samsung One UI 2.0&nbsp;began rolling out to users in January 2020.

This update corrected a <a href="https://blog.emojipedia.org/samsungs-emoji-adventures/">long-standing design oddity</a> in the Samsung emoji set, where the design for <a href="/nl/regional-indicator-symbol-letter-u/">🇺 Regional Indicator Symbol Letter U</a>&nbsp;displayed the letter V and <a href="/nl/regional-indicator-symbol-letter-v/">🇻 Regional Indicator Symbol Letter V</a>&nbsp;displayed the letter U.

One UI 2.0

Samsung One UI 1.5 began rolling out to users in August 2019.&nbsp;The first major device&nbsp;to launch with this release was the Samsung&nbsp;Galaxy Note 10.
