Samsung&rsquo;s design <a href="/nl/samsung/touchwiz-7.1/onthutst-gezicht/">previously featured</a> X&rsquo;s for eyes, a flushed nose, and vertical lines over its forehead, shorthands in manga and anime for such feelings as anger and embarrassment.

Onthutst Gezicht

A yellow face with flat, closed eyes and mouth. May convey a sense of frustration or annoyance more intense than suggested by&nbsp;<a href="/nl/neutraal-gezicht/">😐 Neutral Face</a>,&nbsp;as if taking a moment to collect itself.

Microsoft&#39;s design <a href="/nl/microsoft/windows-8.1/uitdrukkingsloos-gezicht/">previously</a> displayed this emoji with its eyes open, while Samsung&#39;s design <a href="/nl/samsung/experience-9.0/uitdrukkingsloos-gezicht/">previously</a> had eyebrows.

Uitdrukkingsloos Gezicht

A yellow face with scrunched, X-shaped eyes sneezing or blowing its nose into a white tissue, as if from a cold or allergies. Often depicted with a crumpled-looking mouth.

May also represent someone in an emotional state wiping away tears, as at a <a href="/nl/bruiloft/">wedding</a>.

Niezend Gezicht

A yellow face with a crumpled mouth and a cockeyed expression, as if <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tired_and_emotional">tired and emotional</a> from inebriation or smitten with love. Depicted with raised or furrowed eyebrows and at least one eye half-open. WhatsApp&#39;s design features a tongue hanging out.&nbsp;

Meaning widely varies, but commonly conveys intoxication or&nbsp;infatuation. Its dazed expression may also represent such feelings or states as bewilderment,&nbsp;irritation, disgust, exhaustion, wackiness, or complete satisfaction.

Wazig Gezicht

A yellow face with open eyes, raised or furrowed eyebrows, and a broad frown.&nbsp;May convey a variety of moderately sad or tense emotions, including concern, anxiety, alarm, disappointment, and unhappiness.&nbsp;

Apple&rsquo;s design features the same eye expression as on its <a href="/nl/verstomd-gezicht/">😯&nbsp;Hushed Face</a>. Not to be confused with <a href="/nl/verbaasd-gezicht/">😲 &nbsp;Astonished Face</a> or <a href="/nl/duizelig-gezicht/">😵&nbsp;Dizzy Face</a>.&nbsp;

Samsung&rsquo;s design <a href="/nl/samsung/touchwiz-7.1/bezorgd-gezicht/">previously included</a> sweat droplets coming from its cheeks, a shorthand for anxiety in manga and anime.

Bezorgd Gezicht

A yellow face with a slight frown, furrowed eyebrows, and scrunched eyes, as if holding back tears or exerting great effort. May convey various degrees and tones of frustration, sadness, helplessness, and struggle. Facebook&rsquo;s design features a light-purple forehead.

Volhardend Gezicht

A yellow face with closed eyes, furrowed brows, and a broad, open frown, as if distraught to the point of giving up. Usually shown with upper teeth and sometimes tongue.

May convey various feelings of frustration, lust, sadness, amusement, and affection. Often playful in tone.

Similar in appearance and meaning to <a href="/nl/vermoeid-gezicht">😫&nbsp;Tired Face</a>, but with crescent-shaped eyes. Huawei&#39;s design has its <a href="/nl/tong">tongue</a> hanging out of its mouth. Samsung&rsquo;s design previously featured large eyes half-closed in tiredness.

This emoji has a cat variant, <a href="/nl/vermoeide-kat/">🙀&nbsp;Weary Cat Face</a>, though it more closely resembles <a href="/nl/angstig-schreeuwend-gezicht/">😱&nbsp;Face Screaming in Fear</a>.

Moe Gezicht

A yellow face with scrunched, X-shaped eyes, furrowed eyebrows, and a broad, open frown, as if yawning in exhaustion or groaning in exasperation. Usually shown with upper teeth and sometimes tongue.

While intended to represent tiredness, it commonly conveys various degrees and tones of frustration and sadness as well excitement and affection, as if it just can&rsquo;t handle how great someone or something is.

Similar in appearance and meaning to <a href="/nl/moe-gezicht/">😩 Weary Face</a>, but with scrunched eyes. Not to be confused with <a href="/nl/slaperig-gezicht/">😪 Sleepy Face</a> or <a href="/nl/slapend-gezicht/">😴 Sleeping Face</a>, which often convey actually being asleep.&nbsp;

Samsung&rsquo;s design <a href="/nl/samsung/touchwiz-7.1/vermoeid-gezicht/">previously featured</a> three, vertical, blue lines over its forehead, which can indicate fatigue in manga and anime. A <a href="/nl/microsoft/windows-8.1/vermoeid-gezicht/">previous</a> Microsoft design was <a href="/nl/gapend-gezicht/">yawning</a>.

Vermoeid Gezicht

A red face with an angry expression: frowning mouth with eyes and eyebrows scrunched downward. Bears the same expression as <a href="/nl/boos-gezicht/">😠&nbsp;Angry Face</a> on most platforms and may convey more intense degrees of anger, e.g., hate or rage.

Samsung&rsquo;s design <a href="/nl/samsung/touchwiz-7.1/pruilend-gezicht/">previously featured</a> a yellow face with the <a href="/nl/woedesymbool/">💢 Anger Symbol</a> on its forehead. Boos Gezicht

A face, usually purple, with devil horns, a wide grin, and eyes and eyebrows scrunched downward in the same manner as <a href="/nl/boos-gezicht/">😠&nbsp;Angry Face</a> on most platforms. Google&rsquo;s design is red and Facebook&rsquo;s has black horns and green eyes.

Commonly used to convey mischief, naughtiness, and excitement or excellence (slang,&nbsp;bad&nbsp;or&nbsp;wicked). May also represent devils or devilish behavior, especially around <a href="/nl/halloween/">Halloween</a>. More playful and suggestive than its impish counterpart, <a href="/nl/boos-gezicht-met-hoorns/">👿&nbsp;Angry Face With Horns</a>.

Lachend Gezicht Met Hoorns

A face, usually purple, with two devil horns, frowning mouth and eyes, and eyebrows scrunched downwards in anger. Bears the same expression as <a href="/nl/boos-gezicht/">😠&nbsp;Angry Face</a> and <a href="/nl/pruilend-gezicht/">😡&nbsp;Pouting Face</a> on most platforms. Google&rsquo;s design is red and Facebook&rsquo;s has black horns, green eyes, and clenched teeth.

Its Unicode name, Imp, alludes to a <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imp">small demon</a> in folklore, though the smiley is commonly used to represent devils and devilish behavior, especially around <a href="/nl/halloween/">Halloween</a>. Boos Gezicht Met Hoorns

A cartoon cat variant of <a href="/nl/pruilend-gezicht/">😡 Pouting Face</a>. Also resembles <a href="/nl/boos-gezicht/">😠 Angry Face</a>. Depicted as yellow on major platforms. Sometimes used to represent the internet meme and celebrity <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Grumpy_Cat">Grumpy Cat</a>.

Samsung devices use <a href="https://news.samsung.com/global/samsungs-emoji-suite-makes-for-a-more-emotional-digital-world">their own emoji designs</a>&nbsp;which are different to those used on other <a href="/nl/google/">Android devices</a>. These&nbsp;glossy emojis&nbsp;appear on devices such as the Samsung Galaxy and Galaxy Note series and are updated as part of the Samsung One UI interface layer (previously Samsung Experience, before that Samsung TouchWiz)&nbsp;which runs on top of Android.

Note that Samsung users may see select emojis display as their <a href="/nl/google/">Google</a>&nbsp;set design. This is due to <a href="https://blog.emojipedia.org/faster-emoji-updates-on-the-way-for-android-apps/">Android AppCompat</a>, which will display a Google emoji design within an app or web platform&nbsp;when a Samsung device has not yet been updated to support that particular emoji.

Since the introduction of Samsung&#39;s emoji set in 2014, various Unicode characters that have not been recommended to have emoji presentation have nevertheless been given a colorful emoji design on Samsung platforms. Samsung Emoji List — Emojis for Samsung Galaxy, Galaxy Note, and Galaxy Z Fold [Updated 2024]

First released in July 2024 for Samsung&#39;s Z Flip 6 and Z Fold 6 devices, the&nbsp;One UI 6.1.1&nbsp;began its broader rollout in early September 2024.

This update revised the designs of every&nbsp;<a href="/nl/vlaggen">🎌 Flag</a> emoji and various emojis from the&nbsp;<a href="/nl/voorwerpen">💡 Objects</a> and&nbsp;<a href="/nl/symbolen">💕 Symbols</a>&nbsp;categories.

One UI 6.1.1

Beginning its rollout for select Samsung devices on 28 March 2024, Samsung&#39;s One UI 6.1&nbsp;revised a considerable number of previously available emoji designs.

Many emojis had subtle modifications made to their outline, contrast, and shading, including the majority of&nbsp;<a href="/nl/smileys-en-mensen">🧑 People</a> emojis. Meanwhile, many emojis within&nbsp;the&nbsp;<a href="/nl/reizen-en-plaatsen">🚀 Travel &amp; Places</a> and&nbsp;<a href="/nl/voorwerpen">💡 Objects</a> categories were given more extensive redesigns.&nbsp;

One UI 6.1

Beginning its rollout for select Samsung devices on 30&nbsp;October 2023, Samsung&#39;s One UI 6.0&nbsp;featured a completely new design style for the majority of the vendor&#39;s emojis.

All smiley, food, and animal emoji designs have been revised in this update, as have the majority of the people emojis.

This is the most significant revision of the vendor&#39;s emoji set since&nbsp;February 2018&#39;s&nbsp;Experience 9.0 update, which introduced a significant number of design revisions that were consistent with those used on other platforms.

This update also introduced support for the 2023 Emoji 15.1 recommendation list.
