Panasonic
Panasonic is a Japanese electronics manufacturer.
During the 1980s and 1990s they produced a series of wapro devices (Japanese language word processors, also sometimes called “electronic typewriters”) that can be considered early laptops.
One of these devices, the FW-U1P151AI, was released in 1990 and contained a series of emoji-like characters. It is possible that other Panasonic wapro devices produced around the same period also included versions of this character set.
