Zoom uses native emoji support in calls’ chat feature when used on web browsers and within apps for iOS and Android devices. 

This means that Android users see emojis from either Samsung (on Samsung devices) or Google (on all other Android devices), while users of of iOS, iPadOS or macOS see emojis rendered using Apple's emoji designs

Accessing Zoom using a web browser on Windows shows emojis from Microsoft with their latest designs. The downloadable Zoom Client software displays emojis using the black and white Microsoft Windows 8.0 emoji designs on Windows.

To use a standard emoji on Zoom, use the emoji keyboard or picker on your mobile device, or search Emojipedia to copy and paste.

Across all platforms Zoom also features seven core emoji-inspired reactions:

As of April 2021, Zoom allows users to access hundreds of additional reaction emojis. These can be accessed by selecting the "More" ellipses icon to the right of the ๐ŸŽ‰ Party Popper reaction.

On Apple devices these reactions are displayed using the using Apple's emoji designs. They are displayed using JoyPixels 3.0 emoji designs on non-Apple platforms.

Each reaction will appear on the top left corner of a participant’s Zoom video screen once activated. All bar โœ‹ Raised Hand will display for roughly ten seconds before disappearing, while โœ‹ Raised Hand needs to be manually deactivated by selecting the “lower hand” option.
